Remco de Vries (Dutch, b. 1994) is a visual researcher & photographer based in the Netherlands. He graduated (BA) at the HKU Art Academy in Utrecht in 2022.
A sailor background that he himself never knew but still is part of his DNA, and his intrinsic motivation to dissect constructs into something manageable are the driving force to express himself as a visual artist.
His work covers various journalistically underexposed topics such as the construction of the global economy, prosperity and interpersonal connections. He is fascinated by the invisible or poorly attainable in the world which is actually shaping that same world.
Remco is currently part of FOTODOK’s new Talent Embassy program with nine other participants. Together with the other participants, Fotodok and a team of professionals they focus on presenting their work to the outside world.
